Here's my Hexagon Blanket!

(I had a few days i couldn't work on it because i ran out of yarn)
Just in time for Mother's Day!
These pictures aren't the best... it's rainy and overcast so bear with me i'll try to get some better ones up later.

It was a very fun and easy project for me.
I love this pattern and will be doing another one for myself i think, perhaps in cotton?

I've also been working on a Shrug for wearing over my summer dresses,
Picture's coming soon!
Happy Monday everyone!

These aren't the best pictures but there what i have at the moment.

and here are some "behind the scene" photo's of us getting hair done.
Making people's necks cramp!

The Hair stylist's at work.

Makeup application to the instigator of the ball :)
she did an awesome job!

I've started a Afghan for mother's day to give to mom, and ran out of yarn, so while waiting for the mail lady to bring me more, I've switched back to working on my baby blanket.

This is three day's of work.. I was slow...

I found this lovely pattern over at a wonderful blog I love.
She has some lovely patterns and i LOVE all the colors she uses!

So! that's a few pictures from the ball!
Where having a dress up day, in a week so I'll put up some more pictures soon
hopefully some better ones of the two dresses I made right before the ball.
hope your all having a blessed week!

Ruffled petticoat

So! The machine I borrowed from a dear friend does ruffles!!!
I'm so in love... I love my machine ( its an old iron "wizard") but straight stitch gets old :)
So I had a sudden urge to make my dream ruffled petticoat while I had a Ruffler.
So after 28 yards of ruffling.... I now have to hem it all. But it's all sewn onto the skirt and looks beautiful! I'll post pictures after the ball!
Anyway I'm almost done! I made the skirt and pinned on all the trim today now I just have to sew that on and then figure out how I want to trim the bodice.
Then on to Mom and H's dress! And possibly 2 corsets if I can get them done before the ball :) a friend needs one hers ripped and she had fitted her ball gown over the corset.. And H would love to have one too I know :) so we shall see what I can do! The countdown begins till the ball on the 9th! And here's a sneed peak at the petticoat :)

Sorry it's a bit grainy.

Yellow ball gown and Crochet project

So! I've had a cold for a while now and just didn't feel like blogging,
but I'm feeling better and I'm about to make a dress!
I went buy the fabric today... It's amazing how much fabric there is and how many choices you have to make... I sometimes hate choosing colors.
But I made the plunge and came out with some lovely yellow cotton...
I have to have this ball gown made before March 9th.

I've also been busy crocheting I found a cute pattern for a "blooming pillow" here and hooked it up right away.. Now I need to find a pillow to put inside.
I've also started a baby blanket because I ran across some lovely baby yarn in my stash and a pretty pattern on a blog.
So! I'll be posting some dress pictures soon!!

Bulky sweater

Hope you all had a happy Christmas and are looking forward to this new year as much as I am!!
I finally got enough yarn to start a project I've wanted to for a long time!!
Though I highly recommend starting projects when your not tired and it's 10 at night :)
So here's the first pictures of my sweater, this is going to be pulled apart and re-knitted cause it's turned out way to small.
